EDGE INTENSIVE: Pushing Dancers to Find New Limits 2025

Our intensives are designed with the passionate dancer in mind, incorporating many styles of dance + tons of guest instructors. Each day will push dancers to continue their education, dive into new experiences in different styles of dance, and give them the opportunity to work with numerous guests in the industry.

KENICHI KASAMATSU
Kenichi Kasamatsu is a working dancer, teacher and choreographer in New York City. As a dancer, Kenichi has worked with some of the most renowned choreographers from the nation like Keone and Mari Madrid, Nappytabs, and Kyle Hanagami just to name a few. As a result, he has been on stage and in video shoots with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Ne-Yo, Daddy Yankee, BANKS, and Mark Ronson.

His most recent work includes his first two full length shows with akompany, “one, two, three.” and “kazoku”, featuring original choreography and sounds. Over the years, he has also choreographed for numerous music videos and live performances internationally. Kenichi teaches regularly at Peridance Capezio Center and Broadway Dance Center, but also travels the nation to teach at various conventions and workshops and has taught in other countries including Germany, the Netherlands Mexico, Colombia, China, Peru, Japan, and Thailand more.

Prioritizing the longevity of everyone’s love and passion for dance, Kenichi hopes to  cultivate spaces with a sense of community where all can come together to learn, laugh, and love through movement.

RYAN KIRBY
Ryan Kirby began dancing at the age of 6, training until he graduated school in his hometown of Greenville, SC. After graduation, he worked as a company director for Starz Artistic Performing Company. It was there that his choreography won numerous national first overalls and FDC awards. After directing for 2 years, Ryan decided to pursue his dream of dancing professionally and moved to Los Angeles, California. After moving, Ryan worked on Glee, toured the country with Macy's passport and on the 2015 Pentatonix tour, worked on a Toyota commercial, and on several music videos and industrials. He also taught at IDA (international dance academy) in Hollywood, Mather Dance Company, and EVOLVE dance intensives as faculty. Ryan returned to his home of Starz in 2018 and has been teaching and traveling since. Currently, you can also see him touring with Endless Convention + Competition.

NINA HUDSON
Nina Hudson is a graduate of Purchase College’s Dance Conservatory. She began her training at a local studio in Maryland, then attended The Ailey School in New York City. Owner and Director of Deviate Dance, she most recently also became the Assistant Choreographer/Dance Captain/Swing for the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes after dancing in the ensemble for 12 years. Other credits include Assistant Choreographer and Dancer in Kate Spade’s summer and fall campaigns, “Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope” at NY City Center, choreographed by Savion Glover, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon dancing for Camilla Cabello, and The New York Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, choreographed by Mia Michaels. She has also danced for artists including Lil Kim, Peaches, and Turkish Pop star, Tarkan.

JACK BEAULE
Jack Beaule is a choreographer and dance educator based in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended the Greenville Fine Arts Center for high school, where he participated in the dance and technical theater programs. After graduating, he pursued his BFA in Commercial Dance at Pace University in New York City, where he received instruction from esteemed faculty members including Rhonda Miller, Scott Jovovich, Lauren Gaul, and Jess Hendricks. Currently, Jack serves as the Assistant Company Director of Dancers Corner in Greenville, South Carolina, where he also instructs in ballet and contemporary dance. He has produced three evening-length dance performances in Greenville between 2019 and 2022 and intends to expand his repertoire in this area. In addition to his responsibilities at Dancers Corner, Jack actively engages in guest teaching and choreography engagements at various studios.

CASSANDRA SPRINGS
Cassandra Pappy Springs ​is a business owner, choreographer, and dance educator currently living in Atlanta, GA. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, she has trained and worked with teachers, choreographers, dance teams and dance studios across the nation. She received her competitive dance training from Dance Productions Performing Arts Studio where she earned various awards including the title of Miss Dance of North Carolina and Top Senior Soloist at Nationals. After high school, Cassandra pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There she served as a member and captain of the Spartan G’s dance team and received a B.A. in Dance with a K-12 teaching license in dance. She has trained in the genres of ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, lyrical, west african, hip hop and heels technique. Cassandra’s extensive background in performance, dance education, and choreography led to the creation of her professional dance company, Elite DanceWerks LLC. (EDW) in 2016. The company began as a summer project and blossomed into an effort to reach and inspire dancers nationally. Aside from her dance education company, her passion for dance continues to extend beyond the classroom. She serves as a judge for various dance competitions and is a dance fitness instructor with DivaDance Atlanta. She also maintains her dance training by taking classes at industry studios in the Metro-Atlanta area.

MORGAN JOHNSON
Morgan Johnson has been dancing since the age of 3. While growing up, she trained in many styles and won numerous overalls and scholarships. Since graduating, Morgan has toured the country with Intrigue Dance Convention as an full time assistant as well as taught at their 2021 Nationals. In addition, Morgan has worked on HBO tv shows, taught at multiple studios in many states winning overalls and choreography awards for her work, and assisted Ryan Kirby full time with his choreography and master classes. 

SAM NELSON
Sam Nelson is a versatile dancer and choreographer originally from Austin, Texas who is trained in all styles of dance with a strong focus on Contemporary and Lyrical. He was a featured contestant on So You Think You Can Dance Season 16 and finished in the Top 15 Guys on the hit TV show. Sam has worked for artists Tame Impala, JP Saxe, Leroy Sanchez, Clinton Kane, Blake McGrath, and Nia Sioux. As a Company Member with Embodiment the Collective, Sam has performed at NBC’s World of Dance Championships, the Primetime Emmys, and Creative Arts Emmys. His choreography can be seen on America’s Got Talent, SYTYCD, and in numerous music videos. Some of Sam’s additional credits include Adidas, Ivy Park, Vidcon, Six Flags, and Amazon Prime TV.

Sam lives in the LA area and is represented by Movement Talent Agency. He is on faculty teaching weekly classes at Millennium Dance Complex LA and is a featured choreographer for Redwall Tutorials, MDC’s online dance platform. Sam is a guest faculty member for the Dance program at Cal State Fullerton University and a guest choreographer for Washington State University. He is on faculty teaching Contemporary with Intrigue Dance Convention and The Streetz Dance Convention and is guest faculty for Refresh Dance Convention, Nexus Dance Convention and Transcend Dance Convention.

Sam enjoys working with dancers and studios across the country teaching master classes, intensives, and setting choreography. His intricate choreography, unique style, and award-winning pieces have won many National and Regional titles, choreography awards, and scholarships, and have earned dancers’ admittance into college dance programs including Juilliard, Marymount Manhattan, the University of Arizona, and more.

CAMILLE PEPPER
Camille Pepper is a dance major at Florida State University’s School of Dance, entering her junior year in Fall 2024. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, she began her training at Upstate Carolina Dance Center, where she honed her skills as a competitive dancer and earned numerous awards. Notably, she served as an assistant for Intrigue Dance Convention during their 2019–2020 season. At FSU, Camille has had the privilege of training with esteemed artists such as Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Peter Chu, Baye & Asa, and company members from Complexions and Alvin Ailey. In the summer of 2025, she will attend the renowned Jacob’s Pillow as a member of the Contemporary Ensemble. Previously, she trained with BODYTRAFFIC, where she worked with artists including Juel Lane, Martha Nichols, and Tamisha Guy. Most recently, she premiered Peter Chu’s Text Me When You Take Off in Florida State’s Evening of Dance in Fall 2024 and premiered her own work titled Chrono-loop in Florida State's Days of Dance in the Spring of 2025. Driven by compassion, discipline, and creativity, Camille is committed to a future in contemporary dance. She aspires to perform with a professional company and develop her voice as a choreographer.

MORGAN HOLTON
Morgan Holton is a native of Columbia, SC. She grew up dancing competitively at the Southern Strutt where she trained for 15 years under the direction of Nancy Giles. In 2016, she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications and went on to tour with Adrenaline, Revive, and National Dance Honors as graphic designer and brand manager from 2016-2019. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had to work and train with many renowned choreographers throughout her career.

Morgan began her teaching career at Palmetto Performing Arts under the direction of Kristi Beers in 2014. Over the last 8 years, she has won various awards for her choreography; however, her greatest accomplishment to date has been not only training her students to be great dancers, but also inspiring them to be great people. Morgan currently resides in Savannah, GA where she teaches, choreographs, and serves as Company Assistant at Gretchen Greene School of Dance. As an instructor + choreographer primarily at PPA and GGSOD, she is passionate about teaching dancers of all ages.

Morgan first began dancing with Unbound in 2012 and most recently performed in Unbound's shows, "ONE" in 2021, "(in)finite" in 2022, and "Unbeing" in 2023. Her love for and involvement with Unbound has continued to grow over the years. In her current role as co-director, she actively participates in all aspects of the company including performing, choreographing, graphic design, outreach, and marketing.

EMILY DAIL
Emily Dail is a New York City based dancer with a huge passion for movement and community. Originally from Charleston, SC, Emily danced at Charleston County School of the Arts and Creative Edge Dance Center. Upon moving to NYC, Emily attended Marymount Manhattan College getting her BFA in Dance, and performed in works including Peter Chu’s. Most recently, Emily had the honor of assisting Chelsea Thedinga for the work, Indefinitely Now, set on the Joffrey NYC Jazz and Contemporary Trainees. Emily feels deeply grateful to call Thedinga her mentor, and to have also assisted and danced in Thedinga’s work, I’ll Look Around, for the Steps on Broadway Performance Project.

Emily has also recently assisted several dance workshops such as Stacey Tookey’s NYC Protege, assisted Lucy Vallely for the CLI Intensive, CLOUDE’s Cumul:us Events, Anneke Hansen’s Educational Training and Luminous Dance Convention! Emily recently performed Anna Marchisello’s work, Lick the Light Out, for Stacey Tookey’s Bridge Showcase. She also was in Marchisello’s dance films, Full of Life and We Have To Be Friends as well as Emily Greenwell’s dance films, Blinker, Precious, Strangers, and The Light is Where You Shine It. She also currently teaches at Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teen Program and Downtown Dance Factory. Emily feels so grateful to be living her dream in NYC, and hopes to root her classes in exploration, expansiveness and community. She strives for her students to feel seen, excited to explore their own creativity, and to help them achieve their dreams as well.

JENNA PETTY
Jenna Petty has studied dance for nearly 20 years in lyrical, jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, ballroom and hip hop genres. Jenna competed in dance for over 10 years and won many solo and team championships on a regional and national level. She created a name for herself when  choreographing her own national winning solos and other competitive solos that have been awarded choreography and overall awards all over the country. She has been a professional choreographer and teacher for conventions like Ultimate Dance Tour, Expressions National Dance Competition, Endless Talent Experience, etc for 5 years.

Jenna trained on the convention circuit in all genres and was selected to assist choreographers on their national tours and teach classes. Jenna assisted at select 24seven dance conventions, was a member of the #iafrogue company for IAF Studios, and won Pro Reveler of the Year for Revel Dance Convention. She was also selected and performed as a member of Break the Floor’s Beat Squad at DancerPalooza.

Jenna’s home studio is Dance Productions - The Remix, she was a former captain of High Point University’s Dance Team, and she is currently starting her own active wear brand, called Powerhouse, which is expected to launch in the Fall of 2025.
